Welsh Cob Mare
Update: I made the pasterns themselves shorter and that gave me more of the look I wanted.
I had been trying to stay away from that too-long back that seems to be popular in the breed right now, and ended up over-correcting and having a too-short back. So, I cut the poor beastie in half and made her back a tad longer. I'm much more satisfied now.
Update: So, I cut the poor thing's head off. Now the neck is a tad longer. I also attempted to make the hooves smaller but I'm still not satisfied with them.
Update: Some work on the face, neck and shoulders has been done.
Update: I've done a lot of work on the hooves and I've refined the hindquarters a bit.
Update: A little bit more work.
The armature is done and I've began to block it in. The armature itself is made with blue paperclips. You must work with what you've got in Taiwan!
This is a sculpture I've just started. Set to be a Welsh C mare. As you can see, she's still in the very, very rough stages. Parts of her aren't even 3D yet. Any and all critiques are more than welcome at this stage!
As always, with me there is no guarantee that I will ever finish this thing. So it's up in the air as to whether there will be castings in this sculpture's future.
